If your old Plano Water heater isn’t holding its temperature any more, or if you think you could be getting better energy efficiency, ask your plumbing service if they can tell you about tankless water heaters. They provide instant hot water on demand, and there are a few reasons why they may just be a better choice than having a traditional tank style water heater in your home.

A tankless Plano Water heater may also be referred to as an instant water heater, and the reason is just as the name suggests. When you turn on the hot water tap at the kitchen sink or in the shower, you won’t have to wait a minute or two for the water to build itself up to the desired temperature. If you don’t have your own well, then you’re paying for that extra water to run down the drain. Instead, the tankless water heater delivers hot water immediately, every time.

They don’t hold gallons of water in a holding tank, like a traditional water heaters do. Instead, the way they work is they have coils inside that heat up when a user requests hot water. As water flows through the unit, the coils heat up the water to the desired temperature. So, not only do tankless water heaters provide hot water right away, but they also conserve energy, since they don’t have to constantly keep gallons and gallons of water heated while waiting on standby 24 hours a day.

They’re also much smaller, so they take up less space, which makes them a good choice for small spaces in smaller homes. They’re also a wise choice in large homes, where you may have a large number of people waiting to take a hot shower in the morning. With a tankless hot water heater, the hot water won’t run out after the first few people take their showers. No one at the end of the line will have to wait a while for the water heater to refill and heat up the water inside.
