The waste collection and disposal industry is one of the most profitable industries in the world. It is one of the most basic services required by governments. The best part is that this industry provides security for businesses. As long as the population continues to rise, the waste disposal industry will continue to rise. As the population rises, cities expand. When cities expand, governments have to hire new companies to provide basic services such as waste disposal.

However, starting a waste disposal company is not an easy job. You will have to purchase a lot of equipment, and set up an office. Then, you will have to put in a tender offer whenever the government opens a contract. If your tender is chosen, your company will provide waste disposal and collection services for the areas listed in the tender. To start your business, the first and foremost thing you will need is a trash truck.

A trash truck is different from a conventional truck. It has a specialized roll- off mechanism for unloading the trash, and it also has a specialized waste loading mechanism. The waste compartment is designed to make sure that the smell does not reek out. It is completely covered, and only opens when the collected waste needs to be put inside. When looking at trash trucks for sale, here are a few things to note:

The Tires

Always check the tires. Trash trucks are driven for long distances, and they are driven daily. When it comes to waste collection, there’s no respite. As a result, the tires have to be changed frequently. When browsing trash trucks for sale, make sure that you inspect the tires. There should not be a lot of wear and tear on them, and the seller should provide a receipt for the date on which the tires were last changed.

The Waste Compartment Mechanism

You must also check the loading and unloading mechanism. The waste compartment container is located at the rear of the truck. Most trucks have a front loading mechanism, while others have rear loading. Regardless, make sure that the mechanism is working properly. Check to ensure that the hydraulic system does not stick. Also check that the mechanism has been kept in good order and has been maintained properly.

The Engine

The engine is the most important component. It powers the whole truck. The engine must not make a lot of noise. It should also be powerful enough to pull the truck, along with the waste, over long distances. Check the fuel consumption (take it on a drive and note how much fuel it uses) and how it runs before you confirm the purchase.
