If you live on your own and are on the lookout for Atlanta apartments, the one question you must decide on first is whether you want a studio or one-bedroom. As there are several advantages and disadvantages to each type of floor plan, the best way to decide between the two is to ask yourself some important questions.

What Is Your Budget?

The cost is one of the key factors that people consider when deciding between a studio and a one-bedroom apartment. Studios are made up of a single room, so your bedroom, living area, and kitchen are all in the same space.

Some places, such as Icon Buckhead, will separate off the kitchen space with a short wall. All studios have a private bathroom. As everything is in one space, the floor plan is a little smaller, so they are generally cheaper in terms of rent than a one-bedroom.

How Much Stuff Do You Have?

Small studios may be a mixed blessing when it comes to Atlanta apartments. Less space equals less cleaning, but also less storage. Studio flats can start to appear cramped rather quickly. Studio space may easily become crowded with too many things. People frequently have to declutter their possessions before moving into a studio to make it all fit.

Another problem is with the space a one-bedroom has. The extra space means that people need more furniture and décor to make it appear as though somebody is living there. With a studio, less is always more, so it works better for most people living on their own.
