If you have yet to experience the Chapel Dulcinea, be prepared to be amazed. This lovely chapel is a non-denominational beauty. It sits on the campus of the Wizard Academy and was constructed with the purpose of providing a FREE place to hold weddings. This breathtaking chapel overlooks a grassy knoll that connects to a walking trail. The views are stunning. Constructed in traditional adobe design, its tile roof, high architectural arches and beautiful gaslight lighting really come together to create a simply stunning venue as a backdrop to your vows.

It’s Free!

You can reserve your space at the Chapel Dulcinea and pay a “no show fee” which is returned to you the day you arrive for your ceremony! There is no charge to use the chapel. You do have to bring along a wedding officiant Austin for the actual ceremony because the chapel does not supply an officiant but you do not have to pay to get married in this beautiful chapel.

There are other restrictions that apply as well but one of the wedding planners Austin can easily make the arrangements for you. Getting married here can help you to save some money but more importantly it is simply a beautiful place to exchange your vows.

Some Things You Should Know

This is a small chapel but you can rent additional seating from the welcome center to create more room for your guests. The inside chapel can hold about 15 people while the patio can hold about 30 people. Other guests would have to sit beyond the patio.  On the day of the ceremony you have to be sure to check in at the welcome center (of course this is where having a wedding planner on hand also helps) to get your deposit back. If no one checks in you lose your “no show” fee.  The chapel has to be cleaned up after the ceremony as well (another good reason to have a wedding planner on hand) or you will be charged a $250 penalty.  There is a “bride room” and a “groom room” where both can get ready for the ceremony. The chapel can only be reserved for 1.5 hour slots. Food and drink are not permitted. This is a wonderful place to have an outdoor wedding in Austin but it can be a handful to navigate on your own. Having a wedding planner take the stress off will ensure that you will get the most out of this venue.
